Sambazon Offers Free Acai Bowls To Tanner Hendrickson And Michael Rodrigues

According to our analytics, over 110,000 people have viewed the video of Tanner Hendrickson and Michael Rodrigues fighting above Pipeline’s staircase.

Commenters on our site, Facebook page, and Instagram have shared their thoughts on the matter, and this divisive topic has two clear sides. 

Some are vehemently for Hendrickson’s actions, claiming that M-Rod had overstepped his boundaries and suffered the rightful consequences. Others, including M-Rod himself, have denounced Hendrickson’s violence regardless of context. 

But if there’s one thing that all commenters can agree on, and this is truly unanimous, it’s that the waste of a nearly-full açaí bowl is a travesty of biblical proportions. 

People far and wide and expressed concern over the acai’s wellbeing, wondering what happened to its delicious fruity splendor.

We deliver the following news with a somber tone. 

Stab visited the crime scene on the night of the incident, hoping we might recover the now-infamous bowl and either submit it as evidence in the WSL’s ongoing investigation, or resell it for at least $12 on the purple market. Much to our chagrin, the bowl was nowhere in sight. The only evidence of the wasteful incident were a few banana slivers, some chunks of granola, and an anemic splattering of fruity paste across the grass and wall.

Devastating as this may be, an email received from Sambazon this morning has infinitely lifted our spirits: 

“Hey guys,” it begins.

We watched the Hendrickson vs Rodrigues drama unfold and we obviously feel very bad about the wasted delicious substance from the Amazon…

But in order to seek resolution between these two honorable competitors, we would love to offer both Tanner and Michael some açaí bowls or packs so they can bury the hatchet.

We can either send some to them directly or they can go to Haleiwa bowls and collect the delicious superfood.

Hope we can help solve their issues through a delicious bowl…. Ha ha
