One minute he was on his board, the next he was face-down in the water says lifeguards.
Yesterday, around noon, a 63-year-old man passed away doing what he loved, for a good cause. Hawaiian Francis Noe Todd, was participating in the Luau and Legends of Surfing Invitational for UC San Diego’s Moores Cancer Center when the tragedy occurred reported NBC San Diego. Mr Todd was found floating unconscious with no pulse mid-way through the fundraising event. He was pulled from the water near the Scripps pier at La Jolla Shores not too far from world-class sand stretch Black’s Beach. Attempts to revive the man, including use of a portable defibrillator were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead on arrival at the Scripps Memorial Hospital. Medical examiners are working to determine the exact cause of this unfortunate death. Stab sends it’s regards to the family and friends of Mr Todd.
