Lucid Pipeline Dreaming

El Nino winter has yet to shimmy itself into full swing, but there’s been slight glimpses of what this well pumped winter has in store for us. “There was a lot of hype built up on this swell,” lensman Laserwolf tells Stab. “Mostly from excitement and desperation as the entire surf world has spent the last two weeks groveling waste to shoulder high surf at Ehukai Beach Park. Thursday started off really slow. It was rainy and the swell was almost non-existent. Rocky Point seemed like the place to be for the morning. But by lunch time the sun came out and Pipe to Off The wall was getting better with every set. A lot of guys were down in Haleiwa focusing on the Triple Crown but those who were around scored. Things dropped off pretty quick over night and this morning was really inconsistent. I swam for three hours and only fired off a few shots. Then headed to Rockys to shoot from the beach until I got rained out. It’s looking like a another week or so of drinking games and groveling at the Sandbar before the next dose of decent surf arrives.”
