…Lost Extends Shaper Rankings Lead After Sportiest Weekend In Recent Memory
A massive weekend on the couch for fans of vigorous exercise.
There’s knuckleheads on the White House lawn.
Not the January 6 crowd per se, but likely some overlap in mailing lists at the UFC Freedom 250 spectacle. Speaking of which, one of the convicted (then pardoned) Jan 6 rioters, Elias Irizarry, just got a job at the White House as a counterterrorism officer… Perhaps firsthand experience stress-testing the fragility of democracy counts as relevant work history.
Anyhows I digress. This episode of Idiocracy is sensational.
Surfing had some stiff competition for eyeballs this weekend between the Knicks vs Spurs, World Cup and MMA sporting events happening in tandem.
In case you missed it, here’s the finals day comp wrap, where Italy claimed its first CT win and Momma Riss collected her 30th CT scalp.

On the shaper front, …Lost Surfboards slightly extended their lead over the pack thanks to Carissa Moore’s second CT victory in a row and Gabriela Bryan’s SF finish.
Sharp Eye took a sizeable stride, with Fioravanti’s first CT win and Luana Silva’s QF finish.
Gold Coast bruisers Daz Handley (DHD) and Jason Stevenson (JS Industries) both logged respectable showings, while Chris Borst and Silver Surfboards shimmied forward after QF finishes from Caity Simmers and Anat Lelior, respectively.
The current top five on the 2026 Surfboard Empire CT Shaper Rankings presented by Veia, now resembles:

Restorative.
