Kolohe Andino’s Lowers Photo Journal – Day Three

Dear diary. Here’s Kolohe ‘Brother’ Andino’s photo journal from the Hurley Pro, Trestles today. Our backstage spy (armed with an iPhone and competitor’s area pass) has been sending your pals at Stab a daily photo journal of his visions from the event. And so far, we ain’t been disappointed with his vibe-capturing. All photos and captions by Kolohe Andino. “The local, the transplant, the steeze and the local. Luke Davis, Evan Geiselman, (Hurely team manager) Brandon Guilmette and Jeremy Carter looking hot.”   “Adriano and Taj, post-flair fest in round four. Adriano beat Taj on his last double-air wave. Taj will have a second chance tomorrow.”   “Heitor Alves switching his song from “Who Let The Dogs Out” to Little Wayne. Heitor shredded today. I always love the Brazilians for their passion, skills, and radness on land. Psyched.” “Jeremy Flores had a last-minute heroic against Freddy P. It’s sick that he’s riding a Patterson.” “Josh Kerr looking scary before his highly-anticipated aerial match against the freak kid, Gabriel Medina.” “Kelly and his fans.” “Mick and Joel (on the far left) doing the same stretch before their round four heat against Julian.” “Although Julian had a stellar heat, Joel was able to get back the lead from him with a 9.2 to finish an awesome day of competition.” “Kelly getting ready for battle. Or is it really battle for him? It seems to me that he walks to the quarters with his eyes closed. But either way, he’s still surfing as good as anyone.”
