Josh Kerr’s Handshaped Asymmetrical Sled
Mr Josh Kerr had a glimpse of convention and tossed it out the window for the upcoming Billabong Pro Tahiti. Alongside Rusty Preisendorfer, he hand shaped himself an asymmetrical sled to mount at Chopes. He’s calling it the ‘Bi Polar.’ Shortly after the event the board will be auctioned off on eBay with all proceeds landing in the pocket of big wave charger Darryl “Flea” Virostko’s drug rehabilitation center fittingly named FleaHab. FleaHab’s sole mission is to provide a sober living environment, integrated with healthy lifestyle and exercise for those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. Holistic recovery offering up an alternative route of sober living is the name of the game. Darryl, with the help of family and friends is incorporating his learnt sobriety with sights set to help those in need. “FleaHab is a place where people who are recovering from addiction can live and get back to the healthy activities they enjoy,” says Mr Virostko. “Activities include: surfing, skateboarding, tennis, golf, biking, hiking, and camping.” The bidding for ‘Bi Polar’ will commence on the 14th of August and will be closed by the 24th. It’ll be featured on rusty.com. If you have the means and want to get down on the auction then throw some funds their way. Pat yourself on the back, because everyone likes to gloat in the participation of a good cause.
