Watch A Bunch Of Skaters Tear Apart Palm Springs’ Future Wave Pool
A cast of killers tear Wet N Wild apart before the bulldozers arrive.
You might think that, because skate and surf are kissing cousins, that jamming the two together in a magazine, or on a website, on a regular basis is a great idea. It isn’t. Cross-over media just doesn’t work. Maybe it’s because the cultures are so different. Surfers are ocean jocks, skaters are dirtbag punks. Or whatever you want to call skaters.
Surfers are ocean jocks. By and large.
So you shouldn’t expect to see skateboarding pop up on Stab very often. You’ll typically need to go track down clips on your own. Which won’t be difficult. Skateboarding and filming go hand in hand and there’s never a dry spell between amazing footage
But every once in a while something special comes along and it’s worth jamming in between all the ocean jock-age. Like, say, if a group of surfers were to buy a defunct waterpark and let a crew of killers run rampant on their little wheely boards. All the better if that park were the same one Rick Kane used to shred his way to fame and glory and is owned by Cheyne Magnusson and Kalani Robb, among others.
