Dane Reynolds will surf the Quik Pro France

We’ve seen a lot of Mr Reynolds on tour this year! And as always we get a little excited. Dane in competition’s a bit of a conundrum, he usually has a few heats that leave your jaw wide open then kind of putters out. But we still pull for him, it’s hard not to throw the guy on your fantasy team. The man’s done some of the most memorable maneuvers in ASP/WSL history. Remember that turn at Haliewa back in 2012? Wasn’t that just a fresh slice of what-the-fuck? You’ll also remember the final between Dane and Kelly in France back in 2012. He had a good result in Fiji this year. And pretty whatever results at J-bay, Snapper and the Vans US Open in Huntington Beach. But that doesn’t mean we won’t see some magic from the father in France. Barrels, carves, airs and baguettes can be safely anticipated. As the Quik Pro France approaches Dane will once again don the singlet and bob and weave through the cracking turquoise crystalline that Hossegor has to offer. Which will be a pleasure. The famed french beachie resembles that of silverstrand and some of those Ventura breaks showcased via Marine Layer Productions. If there’s one thing you can’t argue; watching Dane surf world class waves is a treat. He surfs full speed ahead and like Mr Florence you’re never quite sure how he’s going to knife a section. And that’s what we love about him, Dane don’t ever change. “So I just got news I’ll be in the Quiksilver Pro France,” said Dane in a recent Instagram post. “I’m going to donate my prize money to someone that needs it more than me.” Dane typically donates to charities involving animals; shelters, rehab and etcetera. He’s currently looking for a new cause to donate to. If you have a good one that could use a little Reynolds cash flow drop a comment @sealtooth. Mr Reynolds always lends a helping hand.
