Channel Islands Is Having A Party Tonight To Celebrate Its Double Board Launch
You’re invited!
Tonight in Santa Barbara, the world’s most iconic surfboard manufacturer will be hosting a foam-filled rager in its flagship Santa Barbara location*.
And no, we’re not talking about the kind of navel-high party foam that New Jersey teens use as an excuse to finger each other on the dance floor. What we’re talking about surfboard foam, and particularly that which is shaped into the mold of Channel Islands’ two new models, the FishBeard and CI Mid.
If you hadn’t noticed on Instagram in the past couple of months, a fleet of fishy Merricks with throwback logos have been underfoot most of your favorite surfers. That was to build hype for the FishBeard, a twin-fin derivative of CI’s explosively successful NeckBeard 2.
As for the CI Mid, it’s a modern mid-length designed for those who’d prefer to cheater-5 through the end bowl rather than tear it in half. We’ve heard Ashton Goggans has four of them on order in various colorways to match his daily hat selection.
To learn more about the boards and catch up with Channel Islands heir Britt Merrick, plus team member Parker Coffin and mid-length propagandist Devon Howard, head to CI SB tonight at 6:30. There will be food, beer, films, and flannel shirts galore.
If you don’t live in that specific region of Southern California, we’ll have full board profiles of the FishBeard and CI Mid on the site tomorrow.
*Join the party here: 36 Anacapa St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101, United States
