On Thursday night, Caity Simmers premiered her film ‘Toasted’ in her hometown of Oceanside, California.

The 25-minute piece — edited in directed by Caity herself — features brother Timo Simmers, Molly Picklum, Sierra Kerr, Bella Kenworthy, Mikey February, Ian Crane, Tex Mitchell, and Tanner Gudauskas. Surfers from O-side and beyond gathered at the Moose Lodge to preview Caity’s extracurricular activities before the film releases on Stab Premium on January 23rd.

Doors were set to open at 6:30pm, but our eager audience arrived by 6pm. So, our partners at Shootz powered up the toasters and started popping. A few of our early arrivals even managed to put some Toast on their fluff.

Caity and Timo understood the assignment.

Doll Riot, a local punk band, also arrived early to check out the antlers and chat with Ms. Director. The crowd parted as the force of five stepped towards the stage. There’s no doubt we can expect another powerful collaboration in the future.

“A douchebag of your magnitude could cleanse a whale’s vagina” is your author’s favorite Doll Riot lyric.

The event hosts, Oceanside Boardriders Club, pitched a tent outside the Moose Lodge entrance to spread the t-shirt love. By 7pm, the admittance line ran down the street and the pop-up adopted the stragglers.

“Wait, there’s a line to get into the Moose Lodge?” -Everyone

After cleaning the toast, the kids gathered around the tables for the most anticipated shot of 2023.

No pressure at all.

Caity introduced ‘Toasted’ to the world and tossed retail treasures from SunBum and O’Neill into the claws of the juvenile crowd.

Step 1: Command the house. Step 2: Spit heat.

Legions of rugrats, OG harbor locals, surf parents, lot trolls, punks, families, sponsors, managers, and non-conformists flooded every inch of the Moose Lodge for the film’s debut on the big screen. Transfixed gazes and hollers suggest rave reviews.

Molly Picklum memorizes the crowd.

After ‘Toasted’ finished, speakers blared, elbows were thrown, heads bobbed, and drinks spilled as Doll Riot flexed with ‘Get A Life.’ The youth moshed to their hearts desire and the elders said the scene was reminiscent of the better parts of the ’90s.

The Scion XB that inspired the name…because it kinda looks like a toaster. Get it?

Timo Simmers, Ryder Smith, Mason O’Toole, and Chris Slowly from Shootz set up the line of order.

‘Toasted’ filmer, Jimmy Wilson, with Brooke Jaffe and future aerialist, Koura. (There will be no double grabs.)

Sierra Kerr doesn’t burn her toast.

Stars: Caity Simmers, Sierra Kerr, and producer Coral (hi).

And they all adhered to the loyal order of MOOSE.

Winning smiles only Steve Sherman and Josh Kerr.

Timo asked his sister, “Are you popular or something?”

The moment it all got real.

Sharks.

Team O’Neill can and will selfie.

Dinner of champions.

Posters were torn off the wall and signed.

Transfixed.

Enthralled.

Entertained.

She scored, don’t worry.

A Toaster to live for.

Missed last night? Don’t worry, there’s upcoming ‘Toasted’ premieres in San Diego, Florida, Rhode Island, and New Jersey.

Caity x Stab’s ‘Toasted’ is scheduled to release January 23 on Stab Premium.

Be teased.
