A New Major Sponsor For Noa Deane?

Bidding war currently unfurls…

What makes a surfer valuable in 2016? On the competitive side, it’s simple: Good results, clean livin’ and the correct @’s on their posts. But on the freesurfing side, it’s a little more difficult to discern. Whatever it is, Noa Deane gots it. And thus, he’s currently the focal point of a bidding war.

Noz has always been a great fit for Rusty, where he spent his coming of age as a surfer (and person, truthfully). Their relationship was fruitful, Noa personifying the colour that the R dot has always tended towards, and the company giving Noa the means to create some of the best digital surf films in recent memory.

Mr Deane dazzles at every corner. It’s little surprise he’s a highly desirable team member – even the simple act of knifing, as demonstrated here, bursts with flavour.

But the time may have come for a new chapter. Noa has been flown to California, where the decision-makers of the surfing world all reside, to be courted by Rusty, Quiksilver and Volcom. Noz could be Ang, leaving Brad for something new, or he could be Queen Bey, taking Jay back after a short hiccup.

Even if he ain’t your cup of tea, Noa is the most desirable professional non-competitor in the surfing world right now. He connects with his target audience, sells trunks, ignites trends, blazes trail, all that good stuff that’ll land someone in the north-of-US$500k-a-year club, where Noa is most certainly soon to reside.

Come January 1, there could be a new sticker on his board. But, who?

Along with Dane Reynolds, Noa has helped breathe new, exciting life into the tweaked slob. Just one of his signature kicks.
