If Rasta’s Name Is On A Set Of Fins, You Know They’re Money
Come learn at the knee of a couple of Twin masters.
Is there a more authoritative combination in modern twin fin surfing than David Rastovich and Futures?
You’d certainly be hard pressed to argue in favour of a collab that’s yielded better surfing… or sales.
Well after a 10,000 high lines followed by 10,000 searing hackbacks, the duo has a fresh output: the Rasta Rev 3/2 Fibreglass Twin +1, (if you’re after a little extra hold).

From a Stab perspective, it’s not our first rodeo with the Rasta Revs, in fact, they were the final piece of the mosaic that led to Ryan Lovelace being crowned the winner of Rasta’s EAST trip, culminating in the Puerto Rican finale. Furthermore, they’re the skegs glued to the bottom of EIC and Joyride pilot Mikey C’s unlikely love affair with a set of Ryan Lovelace asymms.

For the engineers in the chat, the fins are a full vector foil with a reverse 3/2 twist and a three degree extra splay through the top half of the fin. Meaning, in layman’s terms, that the tip is more keeled over than the base, offering multiple planing surfaces that maximise water attachment. They’ve also got a scimitar tip, meaning that the tip is straighter than the base of the fin. If all of that puts you in a spin, cc: this clip of Dave chatting his new signature fins (during the filming of EAST) with Vince from Futures. Dave on adjectives, and Vince on specifics.

Whether you nerd out on fin tech or not, it’s pretty much illegal not to have a twin as an integral part of a 2026 quiver, and if you’re going to ride two fins (maybe with a trailer) then Rasta’s as good a guru as any to put your faith in.
“With this Reverse 3/2 foil, it was like a 7th gear was discovered,” Dave says of his new signature rudders. “There’s another level of speed, and ability to handle and control that speed, that I didn’t know was there.”
Enjoyment in surfing is extracted by generating enough speed to ruffle your hair, and then having the control to yank it back to the source with as much power as you can muster.
No one exudes surf joy like Rasta.
