Deals Aplenty: Why Right Now Is An Amazing Time To Upgrade Your Quiver
All the best pandemic discounts live here.
From Bondi to Biarritz to Lowers, a lot of the world’s prime surfing grounds are on lockdown at the moment, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good time to pick up a new sled. At the very least, you’ll have some fresh rails to fondle while you’re in quarantine mode.
Like just about every other business in the world, surfboard brands are feeling the weight of the plague. As such, some are looking to keep their businesses alive by knocking a few bucks off the sticker price.
If it’s a deal on a board you seek, right now’s a great time to go shop and support your local shapers, glassers, and board builders. Here are what a few of our favorite companies are doing to help you ease into your next ride:
– Chilli is offering a 10% discount on all online purchases.
– Haydenshapes is offering free artwork on any custom order made through HSSTUDIO. They also started uploading “blems”, ex-team boards, and second-hand boards to their HSOUTLET for up to 60% off original retail.
– Chemistry Surfboards is taking $100 off any custom or stock orders and throwing in a Low Tide x Chemistry traction pad. This is one of the best offers we’ve found at the moment.
– Rusty Surfboards is also knocking a $100 off of any surfboard order. They note that orders will be fulfilled within two to four weeks.
– DHD is shilling some of their top-selling models for a mere $750 AUD ($480 USD)
– JS Industries is offering a huge “Aus Special” in the great island nation, with a wide variety of boards being sold for $699 AUD (roughly $450 USD). There’s also free shipping on any board purchases, plus a free hat and tee.
– Like JS, SharpEye is offering free shipping…but no gear.
– Pyzel is offering a free hat, traction, and shipping with any surfboard purchase.
– Mark Richards Surfboards is offering 50% off tees and fleece…but you’re going to have to pay full cut for a Super Twin.
Not for lack of trying, it’s likely that we’ve left some killer discounts off this list. If there’s a brand you know who’s offering killer deals on boards, let us know and we’ll add them to the list.
