Tyler Stanaland And His Pink Soft Top, Laguna Beach

The soft scene’s had a high performance makeover and the world is a much better place because of it! It wasn’t long ago that their usage was reserved for kids in chlorinated ponds or the cute backpacker you were encouraging in half a foot white water. Now it’s not uncommon to catch glimpses of fluorescent foam perched on rail, soaring above the lip or locked neatly into a tunnel like Tyler Stanaland’s above. 

“It was a pretty solid mysto set that we lined up,” photographer Chris Monroe told Stab. “Definitely the biggest tube I’ve shot in Laguna. People on the beach were tripping. Tyler is 6’5″ for scale, and the hot pink catch surf board really sets it off! I was psyched because I had my new housing out there and finally I got some solid ones with it.”
