Superstorm Sydney: Tamarama Lights Up!
Perth Standlick, Pama Davies and some excitable spectators.
Tamarama, or it’s alternative title, Tamawatu, has been cooking after Sydney’s recent 2-foot windswell superstorm struck the coast earlier this week.
Two locals on hand, Perth and Pama, were fortunate enough to wrap themselves inside the wedgey drainers and even deliver a few end bowl gouges.
Whilst surfable waves on the Eastern Beaches are a rare event, a lineup containing less than 10 warriors is an even more surprising setting. Without fail there’s on-sand talent to witness it all though.
We may not be able to lay claim to Namibia like freight trains down under in Sydney, but at least we can revel in the fact our limbs and appendages aren’t on the cusp of frostbite each time we sneak out for wave.
