Sequence: John John Florence spins at Snapper, QLD

Welp, the Quiksilver Pro, Gold Coast finished on Friday in ‘fun’ sized swell. And then, the swell that Kieren Perrow had been crossing his fingers for kinda turned up. And never was too little, too late truer. But it was a thrilling final day, and what’s an extra weekend to your schedule  when you’ve been sitting in wave-starved Coolangatta for a fortnight and there’s finally some waves? “It wasn’t pumping but it was looking super fun and dreamy,” says lensman Mikey McArthur, who captured this sequence of John John Florence spinning over the Snapper sand yesterday. “It was super hard to figure out who was sitting where and where to shoot, but as soon as John John caught a wave, you knew. He was ripping harder than anyone.”
