Patty Gudauskas, backside throw, down in Rio, Brazil

Patty Gudauskas, 26 years old and from California, beat Damien Hobgood in round two of the Billabong Pro, Rio today. After running the first day at Arpoador, the event returned to the primary site of Barra Da Tijuca, which was pulsing at five-ish feet sets that’d occasionally open up. Patty didn’t find any barrels but didn’t need to, since he was too busy slicing. This was a first hit throw on a rare left and, though it wasn’t a land, Stab applauds Patty’s enthusiasm.
