“Oliver only just stuck the new Analog logos on his board last week,” says photog Jimmy Wilson of Oliver Kurtz’s recent sponsor acquisition. “And already he’s bagged a second place at the VQS Championships. Alex Smith won the thing, he was on fire.”

Spring time in California is wonderful. The brine starts to warm and the sun ain’t shy. And it don’t matter what the waves are like – everyone just wants a slice of the atmosphere. “There’s been some fun south swell around here but nothing special,” says Jimmy. “The water has warmed up into the mid 60’s (about 18 degrees celsius) and the weather is nice so everyone’s been getting some sessions in. It was so crowded out there, though.” Luckily Oliver here managed to sneak one away from the pack and blast this frontside fling.
