Nathan Fletcher’s one of those men that follows swell. It’s a commodity that saw him in some of the biggest caves on the tow-day in Tahiti recently (and, that ain’t a turn of phrase, eithers – literally, like, top two biggest) and the reason why he showed up at the wedge in time to meet that same swell, once it’d made it’s way over to the US.

Photog Steve Dolan, who was down there to fire off this shot, said: “After chasing this swell from Tahiti, Nathan put on an absolute clinic at the Wedge this afternoon. He was paddling into the biggest, meanest closeouts, then punting gigantic alley oops over the end section.”
