Nat Young, barrelled and bloodied, Santa Cruz, US

Nat Young, king of The Lane (though that isn’t where these were taken) was enjoying a post-christmas session with photog Nate Lawrence in Santa Cruz recently. As y’can see above, they linked up nicely a few times and the crystal clear beachie tunnels were making for quite a treat. That was, until, Nat came unstuck on one and wore his board to the face. Six stitches, thanks. It’s all fun and games until you stab yourself in the head with a piece of fibreglass, huh?
