Mitch Coleborn lost to Kelly Slater this morning in round three of the Volcom Fiji Pro. So, why do we now offer an image of Mr Coleborn, y’may wonder? Because Mitch is fabulous! And, if there’s one thing Kelly ain’t lacking in his life (other than money and skillz), it’s documentation. But anyhow, back to Mitch – despite his misfortune against the world’s best-ever surfer this morning, Mitch looked real good (those backup stores sure can be elusive little devils!). In fact, he looks like he’s done a lot of time here, all strong bottom turns, power carves and smooth lines. A visual, and visceral, pleasure! For those who don’t remember, Mitch actually beat Kelly in round one last year. We love us a rematch and some friendly revenge-seeking, and Kelly got his this morning. These are the kinda things we missed during those stacked Lazy Days, and you can expect today to be dripping with action since rounds four and five are both on call. Strap in here.
