Michel Bourez, View from the Nike House, Hawaii

This is the view of Off The Wall from the Nike House on the North Shore, where Photog Jimmy Wilson’s been staying lately. He says the favourite pastime of house guests are dance-offs: “This game called Dance Dance has taken our house by storm. It’s all people want to do at night. Sebastian ‘Seabass’ Zietz stays at the Oakley house next door so he likes to come rip up the dance floor. Other enthusiasts include Kai Barger, Steph Gilmore, Coco Ho, and Granger Larsen. Mick Fanning tried it for a few seconds and immediately lost interest. Come n’ Ride It is the most popular song.

Michel Bourez, pictured here, is one of our favourite French-Polynesians. He recently did a ‘My Awareness’ for Stab, which appears in our annual hard-cover big book. Jimmy shot this photo of Michel from right out front of the Nike house: “The place is so good I’m finding it hard to even leave the yard when I shoot. So stoked they let me stay here.”
