Mason Ho was one of the most intriguing storylines of the Billabong Pipe Masters. He came third in the trials, but when Owen Wright pulled out on the morning of the main event, Mason was gifted a slot in. What’s interesting about that is, it was Mason who lost to Adriano de Souza in the semifinals, which then meant the Brazilian became the 2015 World Champion. Mason also gained even more notoriety for his post-heat interviews (if that’s possible) throughout the event. He also did the best claim of the event. Anyways, here he is in a simpler time: Sliding into Backdoor during the Da Hui Shootout yesterday. Watch some footage from the day right over here.
