Kolohe Andino wants to surf. Yesterday at the Volcom Fiji Pro, round one ran at exquisite Cloudbreak. Well, most of it: heats one to 10 were held and there were barrels and it was excellent. But because four heats of the VQS event had been held in the morning prior to the main event (causing Joel Parkinson to think the event was off and go fishing), there wasn’t enough time for the last two heats of round one.
And guess who’s in heat 11? Mr Andino, pictured here swinging way above a Cloudbreak lip this morning during warmup. He’ll face Jeremy Flores and Nat Young, but now that the call’s been made for a Lazy Day today, we won’t see the match up ’til tomorrow morning (hopefully).
Keep your eyes peeled here.
