“This day was firing,” says photographer slash tubepig Kerby Brown. “The swell was solid and the wind was a bit devil in the morning, keeping everyone out of the water so it was the perfect opportunity to tow this ledge. I was actually out on my ski this day with Hawaiian Mark Healy who was over for the swell. I towed Mark into a bunch of waves first and just as we swapped over the wind dropped off and it went pretty much glassy… I had the fisheye rig in the ski so I figured I might as well snap a few frames. This was my first wave he whipped me into by the looks of my dry wig and beard (laughs). It was such a perfect one and Craikey (Ry Craike) was in the channel hooting and claiming. There were a few more to come after this… We were all just trading barrels, It was a super fun sesh.”
