The French beachbreaks around Hossegor and Seignosse have been subject to some serious hot doggin’ as of late, care of the pro circus in town for the Quiksilver Pro. Owen Wright told us yesterday that everyone he’d spoken to was frothing on the sessions that’ve been going down, while footage and photos to prove it continue to filter in (more of which you’ll see soon).
Photog Ryan Miller has been filling the Stab inboxes with photographic gold every day. This morning he sent us this image of Jordy Smith standing on the beach, unable to paddle out due to a fishing tournament taking place. Miller said this of the situation:
“We went to go surf some funky, out-of-the-way beach. When we rocked up, there were hundreds of fishermen on the beach. There were also hundreds of amazing rights going unridden out the back. The cops and fishermen were going loony when Jordy tried to paddle out. They made him sit on the beach for an hour ’till the fishing tournament ended and the tide dropped out, making the waves a bit less amazing than when we first rocked up.”
Stay tuned for more action from France, coming soon.
