Today we have the pleasure of John John Florence torching a tweaked-out lien spin at a smallish beachbreak. “The guy has been going at 100mph ever since his ankle has healed up,” says photog Ryan Miller, who angled this from the water. “And with a pretty solid crew in tow the whole time. Family, multiple filmers, team manager, shaper and friends are a mainstay at most of, not all, of the events. It looks pretty damn hectic from the outside but he handles it well. He’s been filming in Hawaii a ton with his brothers, Koa Smith, Eli Olson and Kiron Jabour so it’s typically a solid pack when they surf together. But… this is from a session where it was just Johnny out alone and sharing the lineup with just two other strangers, one photographer and one video camera. He was still pushing himself to surf at a high level but looked pretty damn serene in the lineup.”
