Photog Ryan Miller, whose finger (when pressed) sits firmly on the pulse of WT surfing, just touched down in France. And just in time. “Right off the plane in Bilbao,” he says, “I was racing to Hossegor ’cause there was swell today and not much more on tap for the next few days. I got to the beach a few hours before sundown and, lemme tell you, summer is still very much in full swing here. It was sunny, steamy and the beach was packed. I still had on denim and sneakers from the plane, so I was wildly out of place. The banks, from what I saw this afternoon, look amazing.
