Did you know this 20 year-old once knocked Kelly Slater out of competition? It was in Portugal and he was 16 at the time. More recently, during the Margaret River Drug Aware Pro, the local wildcard added to Gabriel Medina’s 2017 frustrations by eliminating him in round two. If Jacob Willcox isn’t on your radar yet, you’re simply delaying the inevitable. Peter Jovic, one of Stab’s westside lens connections, clicked the above frame, dropped on Instagram and added in the #stabfullframe @oneillusa tags. Scanning for our monthly winner, we were stopped dead in our scroll. 

“The waves have been great around here,” Pete told Stab. “The light has been amazing for shooting. I got this one of Jacob Willcox slotting into a beautiful backlit wave during a recent swell.”
