Dusty Payne’s been logging some serious air mileage lately. Hawaii to Snapper, back to Hawaii, Over to Western Australia, up to Indo, down to Bells, back to Hawaii, now he’s in California for the Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro.

The second leg in Australia wasn’t great for Dusty. His loss at Bells was a tough pill to swallow, but Dusty says he’s using it as ammo to be more fired-up. The image you see above is from the Indo trip, in between WA and Bells. Dusty went to there with Kai Neville, Jon Jon Florence and Chris ‘Chippa’ Wilson, to film for Kai’s new production, Lost Atlas. They surfed a new spot, which is where this huge frontside tweak was shot. Kai told Stab that the wave has a whole heap of amazing sections and they scored some gold. We can’t say any more than that, though.

Dusty’s been having a ball in Cali – staying with Kai Barger, golfing at Carlsbad, trying new boards from Mayhem, DHD and JS. Two nights ago the fellas went to the LA Lakers playoff game against the Dallas Mavericks, care of Nike 6.0, which, needless to say, Dusty was freaking out on. After a close heat this morning, he was knocked outta the Lowers event by Kolohe Andino. But regardless, kid’s been having a blast.
