Chase Wilson, escapism at Newport Beach, CA

Yes, yes, any surfers of the pro or semi-pro variety that are currently on the US west coast, are kicking around Huntington Beach for the Vans US Open of Surfing. But while all the action happens at Huntington, sometimes you’ve just gotta get away from it all. Those who have been, will understand that the teen-made dust storm, body “art” (*Tap This*) and loud noises can be, uh, overwhelming at times. And today, Chase Wilson, pictured here, opted for Newport Beach instead. The sun came out and revealed some excellent moments, at least one of which Chase was a part of, as we find here.
