Who The Hell Decides To Make A Surf Edit While Their House Is Underwater?
Eric Geiselman is a true Florida man.
Towards the end of Vans Stab High at Lakey Peak, you may recall that a hurricane by the name of Ian struck Florida, leading to massive waves and mantis shrimp in the surf lineups.
It also flooded one of our favorite contestants’ houses — Mr. Eric Geiselman. Now, if it were me, I would’ve immediately gone panic mode upon realizing that my house was underwater, flown home and probably cried. Eric, however, hung with us for a few more nights in Bali, headed to Kandui for another surf trip (where he was receiving frantic phone calls from his partner), and then casually cruised home to film this surf edit.
The Florida blood runs deep.
His house is still under repairs, but Eric is excited for 2023 (see below).
In a recent chat with Eric for Stab Surfer Of The Year, he mentioned his admiration for Mason Ho, and said that if he were to create a YouTube channel, he’d want it to be something similar.
“I’m just older, I could never see Andy or any of those guys doing vlogs, and they’re who I look up to. But Mason has the simple recipe, fun content, quality surf clips, and tasteful music. I like that.”
Definite shades of that here, as he flips and flops around firing Florida on a Round Nose Fish to some tasteful music (aka the Butthole Surfers).
