When You Score This Hard, Giving Back Is Icing On The Karma Cake

Luke Davis and Jerome Sahyoun want to help the people of Morocco after a devastating earthquake.

Though it may be easy to forget, there are more important things to life than swell period and wind direction.

In early September, Morocco was rocked by a 6.8 magnitude earthquake that killed an estimated 2,900 people and left at least 5,500 more injured. Countless buildings were destroyed and damaged. It’s the most violent quake to hit Morocco in more than 100 years. Though the epicenter was near the economic hub of Marrakech, the impact was literally felt around the nation.

Luke Davis, a man who has spent more time driving through Moroccan tunnels than the average local trucker, knows how fortunate he has been in this country. In recent years, he has been blessed repeatedly by rinsing himself in long, open-ended pits under an arid landscape.

As a way of giving back to the land that has given him so much, Luke just started an online fundraiser to give aid to victims of the earthquake through his friend and Moroccan slab hunter Jerome Sahyoun. You can learn more and donate here

In the video above, Luke provides another clinic on how to navigate “Snapper on roids,” as one commenter put it. If you like what you see, consider donating to the GoFundMe and help a country rebuild.
