Waimea River Runs Red
Watch JOB and Mason Ho get flushed out to sea on overhead standing waves.
‘This is what happens to Waimea River during a flash flood’
A Kona Low smoked Oahu on the 20th of December and sent messy XXL surf, strong winds and torrential downpours across the islands. Once the storm calmed in the afternoon, Jamie O’Brien, Mason Ho, Pickup host Dylan Graves, and a handful of local maniacs took on the biggest Waimea standing wave we’ve ever seen.
Reports from the ground claimed Mason Ho went down on a wave, and didn’t pop up until he was in the middle of the bay. JOB of course vlogged it all and rode an overhead-standing-wave on his custom made river quiver.
Psych meter of the richter.
