Steph Gilmore has won 26 CT events. Four of them have been on one board. A DNA model shaped by Darren Hanley in 2018.
In Bells and Jbay in 2018, Keramas in 2019, and Barra de La Cruz in 2021, Steph’s board has seen her take the cake on finals day. This likely makes it the winningest surfboard of all time, certainly on right point breaks.
Magic boards are hard to find and harder to keep. They break, they age, they get lost, neglected and forgotten. This one hasn’t, and as Mace Callaghan so aptly remarked in the comment thread, “if it ain’t broken don’t fix it”.
Will the DNA be underfoot on finals day on the right and left walls at lowers?
