The QS Grindset Isn’t Given, It’s Earned

Some time ago, we compared Brazilian sticker-magnet Hedieferson Junior to one Jadson Andre.

Between high-intensity rail transitions, an affinity for rip-bowls, and speed-dial reverses, Hedieferson hasn’t done wrong by our comparison. Granted, QS success is yet to come for the 21-year old, but with the degree his surfing has leveled up since his last clip — and the waves he surfs on the regular — we wouldn’t be surprised to see it arrive soon.

Not all of Brazil has lovely liquid wedges like Florianopolis, and Hedieferson makes light work of Southern Brazil’s less ideal beachies — a skill which will no doubt aid him on the long/perilous journey through the Q’eys more unforgiving venues.
