Team USA Inspects Japan’s New Wave Pool During A Practice Session
Preparing for a potentially lousy beach break with chlorinated perfection.
Japan’s new wave pool caught fire just a few days ago after American settler Evan Geiselman squeezed two turns and a massive punt into one wave.
Evan described the wave as better, bigger, and a soon to be training ground for the US Olympic team and others.
It seems Mr. Geiselman was telling the truth, not only about the wave quality but also about the second wave of US explorers. John Florence, Kolohe Andino, Caroline Marks, and Carissa Moore ran Olympic warm-up laps at the water park yesterday. Supposedly, there is a chance that the event can be held here if mother nature doesn’t provide enough swell at Tsurigasaki, but there is also no chance in hell, depending on who you ask.
Also, how good is Kolohe’s kick out to starfish at the end of the clip? Loving his mojo as of recent; the guy is as chill as a cucumber.
