Oregon Surfers Rescued By Helicopter After Dry Docking On A Jagged Cliffside
#USCG Air Station North Bend captures the feat.
As surfers, our relationship with rocks is complicated.
We treasure the consistency and dreamy points curated by the minerals but loathe when they batter toenails, break fiberglass, and make us feel like beached whales. On Sunday our poor brethren in Oregon got the rocky end of the deal…
According to a local news channel, on Feb. 12, at 2 pm three surfers shouted for help in Agate Beach, Oregon, as a raging current pushed them toward rocks. Within 15 minutes, the U.S. Coast Guard arrived but could not reach the surfers due to ‘destructive wave’ conditions.
Luckily, a chopper saved the day and plucked the stranded surfers from the rocky cliffside. Below is a video of the Air Station delivering the rubber souls to safety a shopping cart-like apparatus.
