Red Bull Cape Fear Is Returning To Shipstern Bluff, Women to Be Included
Laura Enever ain’t scared.
The Red Bull Cape Fear event is returning to Shipstern bluff. The Tasmanian ledge is arguably the most intimidating wave in the world. Massive boils, shelves, and a nice soft rock landing to catch those who slip. Not the mention, the chilly coastline welcomes some of the world’s largest Great White sharks.
Surfing here is a questionable decision, but running a contest is downright madness. Truthfully, I’m not a huge advocate of big wave surfing, but the Red Bull Cape Fear events are hard to look away from.
Plus, there’s a twist this year. For the first time in history, women we’ll be competing in the event. Laura Enever and Lizzie Stokely, two of the best female big wave surfers from Australia, will be pushing their limits at the infamous step.
