Luke Davis and Some Jazzy Proof Of Concept
…Lost’s newest model doesn’t bog.
Just a few years ago, no self-respecting ripper would have been caught dead riding any board that started with M and ended with -idlength. Now — for better or worse — the influence of talents like Torren Martyn have brought stretched out twinnies and sci-fi contours into the high-performance periphery.
While the last few years have seen the most significant increase in general awareness and demand for these glide-focused boards, Matt Biolos has been experimenting with alternative-performance feelings for years. Long before M-Feb ever stepped foot on a CI Mid, Lost had already been delving into the wonders of mid-sized-length.
From where we’re sitting, the best part about high-performance shapers exploring this previously untapped realm is that they know how to fit rippability into an enlarged, user friendly template.
Enter The Glydra, …Losts’ latest blend of length and trim, that somehow looks very, very approachable. A middy for the everyman. Avocado diet and trendy haircut not required.

The video features Luke Davis — a guy who probably doesn’t have a quiver full of 6’8 twinnies — absolutely flogging a few sections on …Lost’s newest alternative creation. “The Glydra” is an extended version of their small wave Hydra fish, and it looks frisky under Luke’s feet.
The video also features an extended jazz soundtrack and some of the shaping/glassing process for all you board nerds.
