Carlos Muñoz To Fill The Ramzi Boukhiam Sized Hole In Our Hearts

The Pipe window is now open, and according to Mikey C’s professional surf forecasting opinion, the event is (un)officially on YELLOW ALERT for tomorrow.

As of last week, Ramzi Boukhiam has been waiting to make a “game-time decision” on his ankle injury. As we’ve now discovered, he’s made the difficult decision not to surf.

As disappointing as this is, especially considering his 10-year QS run to qualify, his spot at Pipe is being given to Carlos Muñoz — who happens to have missed out on last years CT due to injury.

All’s fair in love and cutbacks, and as sad as we are to see Ramzi sit on the sidelines, at least the spot was given to someone else who was shorthanded by injury.
