Can Asyms Work At Backdoor?

I’m of the unpopular opinion that asyms do in fact work. 

Rode a 6’2” Pang asym at Lennox last pumping week, was divine. 

Having said that, Lennox is not Backdoor, and some of that quirk I enjoyed, would not be so enjoyable if it meant hitting a shallow reef of sharp, irregularly shaped coral heads.
