Breaking: Nathan Florence Is Still Scoring

I’m not a vlog guy.

But, you don’t have to be a vlog guy to enjoy Nathan Florence’s slab tour. As such, I’ve hardly missed an episode of his 2023 vision chase — if only because I don’t want to be ignorant to any one of his surf-history altering waves.

Between his Teahupo’o mind bender, his Mullaghmore fin slider, or that absurdly deep Irish wedge he packed a couple weeks ago, Nathan has lodged himself firmly atop the list of all-time heavy water negotiators. His skill, paired with an unflappable stubbornness to paddle when everyone else is towing, has guided him to the scariest parts of the the scariest reefs in the world.

Starting at 5:48, above, is a very chunky Shipsterns session, in marginally paddleable waves, with Nate’s patented genre of royalty free medieval music laid over the top.
