This Is The Board Our Best Surf100 Mexico Judge Will Take Home
As designed for Dane and the rest of the CI team.
The Channel Islands Two Happy has become the high-performance favorite amongst CI surfers.
The board’s concept originated when Britt Merrick made Dane Reynolds some hand shapes for his WSL wildcard spots at Fiji and J-Bay. Dane says:
“The Two Happy is pretty much just a modern performance shortboard, but with a little bit more moderate rocker profile. When the waves are a bit on the smaller side, which is pretty often where I live, I grab a NeckBeard 2 with Spine-Tek. When the surf gets good in the winter here or when I go on a surf trip, I’m grabbing my Two Happy for sure.”
The user-friendly board has also become the only shortboard in Mikey February’s quiver and the preferred blade for Parker Coffin. Parker paid a visit to his trusted shaper, and broke down what makes the board function so well.
