Unlocked For All: Asher Pacey In ‘No Straight Lines’
He draws many lines — and, as promised, none of them are straight.
We live in the age of options.
In terms of equipment, sure, but also when it comes to the many different approaches to surfing that we can watch, admire, try to collect pieces of, then try to make those pieces our own.
Choose your own adventure, draw your own line, etc. There are no rules — no reason why you can’t try to mix a little bit of Italo with some Mikey Feb. And in our opinion, Asher Pacey’s new edit, ‘No Straight Lines,’ has got universal appeal.
Filmed around Australia on boards that have no center fin, Asher’s surfing is in equal parts relaxed and creative. ‘No Straight Lines’ was created by Dan Scott and the soundtrack hits the spot, with two songs by Funkadelic — Can You Get to That and Hit It and Quit It.
Oh, yes. Hit play and get to grooving. Also, look for an interview with Asher publishing tomorrow.
