How Well Can You Surf A Board That Costs $100 And 24 Bottles Of Beer? S.U.R.F. Episode 2
Ozzy Wright, Soli Bailey, Ari Browne, and Jake Vincent dive deep into the Gumtree darkweb.
Buying boards on online marketplaces is hit and miss. Occasionally, treasures are to be found lurking in deep, dark cracks, but mostly it’s just sifting through a heap of junk with the odd gem here and there.
In episode 2 of S.U.R.F., our surfers have their treasure-seeking skills put to the test. With only $100 and 24 bottles of BBB premium lager to barter, they need to acquire and then surf the best board they can find in the tubing Byron backbeaches. This challenge relates to the everyday surfer’s struggle to find quality-equipment given the constraints of surf-budgets and the incredible retail prices of new boards.
This is the second of four challenges that will be covered across four separate episodes of S.U.R.F. The surfer with the highest total after the four challenges will be awarded with the glory of taking out the inaugural S.U.R.F. series, as well as $10,000.
