Is Surfing in a Hoodie the Epitome of Cool?

Josh and Seth Moniz are one of surfing’s preeminent familial pairings.

We’ve known for a while that these two share a supernatural ability in the tube, but who knew they had such dexterity when it came to alternative equipment? Seeing as they’ve been hi-fi guys for their entire careers, it’s quite refreshing to see them shed their tight, sleek Tokoro’s and slip into something a little more relaxing.

On Snapt4‘s Indo boat trip, Josh and Seth spent the small days surfing perfect little barrels on a pair of Tokoro fishes (Josh a quad, Seth a twin). Non-ironically, they also spent those days fishing for actual sea-fare, and the back half of this clip is filled with a variety of colors and species.

How I hope to one day be so good that I can literally talk to the camera while in the tube like Josh at 3:36. That said, I don’t think I’ll ever develop the close necessary to pull off a hoodie in the surf like Seth at 1:33. That’s reserved for surfing’s elite.
