Have No Delusions: Mullaghmore Is As Confronting As It Is Gorgeous

There’s something undeniably engaging about raw surf footage, especially in heavy waves. 

Watching guys pull back and go over the falls makes the odd-completed-tube that much more spectacular than if the same waves were spliced into a two-minute highlight reel. 

Take, for instance, this spectacular session at Mullaghmore. 

On a day that was plenty confronting but not-quite-second-reefing, we see excellent tuberiders get placed on their ass time and time again. We’re talking about trickle-down surf royalty like Luke Hynd, local Gearoid McDaid and Aussie-transplant Noah Lane, plus two of the east coast’s hungriest hole-dwellers Rob Kelly and Stevie Pittman.
