The Foundation Of Kolohe Andino

Kolohe Andino was groomed for the circuit tour. From the moment his father, Dino, pushed him into his first wave, the technique critique began. If you grew up in the Orange County area, you’ve witnessed the two floating side by side, in the Lowers or Uppers lineup, discussing waves, foot placement and flow. Kolohe’s round house wrap was moulded early and led him to hold the title of most NSSA championships won by a male competitor (9). He first qualified in 2012, at the tender age of 17, and after finishing 4th last season he’s considered a world title threat today. There has always been talk of Kolohe not living up to his born and raised potential, but it seems the older he gets (22-years now), the more emphasis he’s putting into breaking the shell of another one of San Clemente’s prodigal sons.
