Ten large is a glorious amount of money for anyone, for a grom it’s a lot of fidget spinners. Last year Rio Waida won it, Sebastian Williams the year before. The frightening thought? That these groms are both still of age to have another dig at this year’s Quiksilver Young Guns.
Once again kids from across the globe have been popping and posting their finest clips to take a shot at becoming the 2017 champ. Right now we have a short list of 30, hand selected by head judge celebs Zeke Lau, Jeremy Flores and Mikey Wright. They’re currently busy locked in their edit bays, putting the final polish on their DIY reels, hoping to dazzle and win your vote in Round Two (starting next week!). Most publicly-adored performers will be airmailed to Indonesia for the final showdown.
Before these hi-fi featherweights hit export on their projects, we thought it’d be beneficial to give them something to shoot for (and perhaps something to make you doubt your own abilities). So here’s rewind on the Young Guns of yesteryear.
